Joyce and the James family, it is my prayer that our Lord and Saviour will continue lifting you during this bereaved moment. God will never put no more on us than we can bear. Cry because you must, for weeping endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning. Glenn will always be close because he was apart of you. The memories that you both shared are in your heart and will never vanish.
I am truly sorry for your loss and know that I love
you all. Praying

The Final Salute
Brothers in Arms, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged Hand Salutes as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This Hand Salute is the last that we shall render to Glenn Ray James our Brother-in-Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Glenn. And to Glenn it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Glenn, we commend you for your honorable service. You are a true patriot, who served with honor and distinction. You upheld the finest qualities of an American patriot warrior: courage, commitment, generosity, sacrifice, love and devotion to family and country. You were a true friend. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 961 military veteran Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion and the 233 veterans of VFW Post 2238 in Shreveport, Louisiana, we extend our sympathies and our condolences to Glenn's family and loved ones.

To the family ~
It breaks my heart to hear of the pain of losing a family member. I didn't know Glenn personally but I have shared my life with members of his family. Be strong and know that Gods' got this. It's not for us to understand but we must accept and lean on Him to give us strength. He knows us and loves us. Trust in Him ~

To Mrs. Joyce, RJ, & Meagan:
Words can't express the sadness you all are feeling now. Your husband & dad was a great man. Any time we ran across each other, he was sure to give me two gifts-- a smile & a laugh. Know that I am praying for your strength and God never fails. I remember them 'Touch of Heaven' beauty shop days like they were yesterday. Remember: Joy comes in the MORNING after the MOURNING. I know you all are God-fearing. It's okay to be sad and grieve....BUT GOD!!!
I love you guys,
Neka a.k.a "Meka" as Mrs. Joyce calls me lol

I will always remember your laugh, smile and corny jokes. You motivated me early on to get good grades by promises of donuts and money and being naive at that age I didn't realize the lessons you were teaching me, to always do your best and not give up. Thank you for so many loving memories.
Love you always, Shay Shay..
