Helen Causey Obituary
Shreveport - Graveside services for Helen Lucille Davis Causey, 84, will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Cemetery, 6295 Williams Road, Keithville, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 12:45 to 1:45 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Mike Stowell.
Helen was born on May 16, 1937 to Grady "Bud" Davis and Gordy May Taylor Davis in Saline, Louisiana and passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2021 in Shreveport.
She retired after 54 years with Gerard Associates, LLC in Shreveport as an Administrative Assistant. She graduated from Byrd High School and was a member of First Baptist Church of Keithville. She was a warm and giving person never expecting anything in return. She loved the Lord and her family. She will be forever loved and missed. She lived a life full of travels. Now Helen can sit back and watch the flowers bloom. The Lord is by her side.
Helen passed peacefully with her family at her bedside at 8:04 p.m. at Ochsner LSU. Helen was deeply loved by her husband of 35 years, Truman Causey. He found a birthday card recently that said, "We were always meant to be." That is exactly the way Truman thought of their life together. Also left to cherish her memory are her children, David Phillips, Zoronia Osterdock, Paul Phillips, Craig Causey, Clint Causey; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Honoring Helen as pallbearers will be Jakob Myers-Heldt, A. J. Bell, David Phillips, Clint Causey, Garland Osterdock and Paul Phillips. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Lynn Davis.
The family would like to express special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and health care assistants who provided care to Helen Causey.
Till we meet again. Yes, your hair and makeup will be done perfectly just like you like it. Love you always Darling, Mom and Memaw.
