Jeff,
I am sorry to find out about your mother's passing. When I first met her about eight years ago I enjoyed talking to her about family and exchanging information. May she rest in peace.

I was very blessed to be Mrs Sadows nurse during her last few weeks, and I will never be the same because of her. I enjoyed our conversations about her northern days, her patients, and her twin boys. Im sure we will all miss the light she brings to any room. She was one beautiful lady with a great amount of wisdom, character, and lots of stamina. She was still caring and helping others before she left. I wish her family the best and want you to know how special she was to other staff and myself.

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Hellen Veronica Haddock Sadow our Sister in Arms. To her family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Helen. And to Helen it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank her for the devoted and selfless service she rendered to her country while serving in the U.S Air Force. Helen we bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,409 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Helen’s family and loved ones.
