Shreveport, La - Funeral services for Helen Marie Thompson will be 1 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Knighton. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to service from 11 a.m. until service time.

Helen was born December 2, 1930 in Arcadia to Frances and Sallie McGuire and died November 26, 2017 in Shreveport. Helen was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a retired bookkeeper.

She was preceded in death by her parents

Helen is survived by sons, Tommy Thompson of Mooringsport, Ken Thompson of Shreveport and Dr. John Thompson and wife, Amanda of Haughton; sister, Juanita Wade of Montgomery, AL; brothers, Frank McGuire of Shreveport, Richard McGuire of Plain Dealing; grandchildren, Nick Thompson, Mike Thompson, Theresa, McAnn, Sydney Thompson, Camryn Thompson, Ainsley Thompson, and Landon Thompson and great grandchildren, Katie and Olivia Thompson, James, Andrew, Ben and Susanna Thompson and Baby McAnn to be.
