Joe has been quite an asset to the Bossier Parish Police Jury for the past few years. He was a fount of knowledge and solid advice and guidance for us. A real straight shooter, always professional and measured with his input and guidance, Joe was a pleasure to work with. I am sorry to miss the Visitation and Services as I will be in Baton Rouge Friday and Saturday for meetings, but my thoughts and prayers will be with Sherrie and the whole Buffington Family as I ask God to Bless you all with His Comfort and Peace! - Doug Rimmer

I'm so sorry to hear about Joe. I had just cut his hair a couple of days before his passing. We talked about the big deer he got up around Atlanta Tx. I'm so sorry for his family's loss. He will be missed.

I did not know Joe well but know he made my former legislative colleague and friend Sherri Smith-Buffington very happy when they married. That is all that mattered to know he was a great guy. RIP Joe!
Regretfully,
