As a Patriot Guard Rider, I have attended hundreds of funerals for America's most important, patriotic citizens. It hurts a lot, when someone so young, so valuable to his family, community and to AMERICA, is taken from us. The ONLY, way to pay respect to Kevin, is to continue to keep America GREAT AND FREE!

SSG Kevin Dean Weiner,As my son is also active Army National Guard, served in Hurricanes aftermath, tours in Middle East, I'm very aware of your strength of character & patriotism young men & women like you bless America with. A piece of America has been taken away when you died. I'm not sure we can replace young patriots like you. I'm grateful to your parents, family, wife & children that forged you to make America better. God, please help us honor Kevin's sacrifice by continuing his mission for America.

Monica, It was always abundantly clear that you loved Kevin and your boys because you put them FIRST in your life and it tripped you up anytime Kevin was out of town. He was always your heart and I could see that the two of you had a sweet, easy love. I know you will dearly miss him. I greatly admire Kevin and those before him who have selflessly served both his family and his country. You are in my prayers these many days and weeks to come. I love you and God bless you!

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to SSG Kevin D. Weiner our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Kevin. And to Kevin it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for his service in support of Hurricane Isaac Recovery Operations and for the selfless sacrifices he made for his country while serving with the Louisiana National Guard and the U.S. Army. No greater love and patriotism is shown than a man dedicate his life in service to his country. Kevin, you are a brave Army Warrior and a true Patriot. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,261 military veteran Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Kevin's family and loved ones.
