Lucille Reed Obituary
SHREVEPORT, LA - Mrs. Lucille Williams Reed, well known local artist, passed away on July 20, 2014, at the Woodlands Healthcare Center, in the Woodlands, Texas. She was born on March 3, 1921 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She is preceded in death by her mother, Loavia Moore Williams and her father, J. E. Williams, Sr. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, George Clyde Reed, her daughter Sandra Reed Carew, and grandson, David Reed Carew.
Graveside services will be held at Forest Park Cemetery, Saint Vincent, on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 10:00 AM.

I didn't know Mrs. Reed, but I remember the stories of GroGro well, and her incredible vibrant art. An inspiring woman, indeed. My thoughts and condolences are with the family.

The family wants to thank each and everyone of you for your sweet and comforting words. My mother was a rare and gentle soul and we will miss her dearly. She also told us many times, "Life is an ADVENTURE! Go for it!" "With God, ALL things are possible!" That is our wish for you.
