Mildred Sexton Obituary
Springhill/Denham Springs, LA - Graveside services for Mrs. Mildred Franks McKinnis Sexton, age 92, will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 3:00 PM in Springhill Cemetery with Dr. Charles Payne officiating with song and eulogy by John Blake. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Mrs. Sexton was born December 25, 1920 in Delhi, LA to Beverly B. and Syrentha Chapman Franks and passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a former resident of Springhill, Cotton Valley and had been a resident of Denham Springs, LA since 2000. Mrs. Sexton was a member of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda McEachern and husband, Larry of Baker, LA; grandchildren, Lynette Cline, Lawrence McEachern and wife, Sharon, Mike McKinnis and wife, Rachel, Lisa Vercher and husband, Tommy, W.C. "Butch" McClellan and wife, Diana; several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister, Shirley Sutton and husband, Bud of Zachary, LA; daughter-in-law, Jean Tyler McKinnis of Denham Springs, LA and step-children, Freddie Sexton of Bloomburg, TX, Helen Aylor and husband, Tom and Barbara Dick and husband, Tom, all of Morrow, AR.
Mrs. Sexton was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Fortson Carroll McKinnis, Gerald Sexton; son, William Carroll "Mac" McKinnis; grandson, Mark McEachern; step-son, Jerry Sexton and brothers, William, Vernon and Herschel Franks.
