To the Armstrong Family,
I will always remember Fr. Miller saying to me, " I am homesick, but not ready to go home yet". It was the first time I saw heaven in such a way, an inviting place with loved ones waiting to welcome me, the place I truly belonged. I look forward to seeing him again in our heavenly home.
My prayers are with you all,
Alana

Mary Ann, please accept my deepest condolences in Miller's passing. I so enjoyed sharing conversations with both of you at our class reunions in Marshall. Miller was so obviously a gentleman of quality. He must have touched many, many lives during his life. I know, fully well, the feelings you have at this time. While the debilitating grief will always be with you, I promise you that it will become easier to bear with the passing of time. Memories are a poor substitute for the living, breathing man, but the sweetest ones will keep you going just when you think you can't. The Lord does not send us more than we can bear. You and your precious family are in my thoughts, today and always.

May we rejoice with the angels.
Let us celebrate the wondrous life and death of Miller Armstrong.
A servant of GOD sent among us.
Whose passing brings tears, smiles, and glorious memories.

May the peace of the LORD be always with you.

A Father, A Priest, A Preacher, A Teacher, A Sage.
Most importantly, A Guide between secular and spiritual.
A Thinker and Student with an eye askance, urging us
To think more, listen deeper, speak after thought instead of before.

May the peace of the LORD be always with you.

Thank you O GOD that this man could touch my soul.
That my spirit was lifted and sorrows were eased.
That, in the turbulence of life, a hand reached out
With love, compassion, hope, and promise.

May the peace of the LORD be always with you.

Rejoice, Rejoice for much as Christ is risen,
Miller is risen to be with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
True joy for a true and faithful servant,
Come home from a long journey to rest.

May the peace of the LORD be always with you.

May we who remain cherish his memory.
May we be as kind, gentle, thoughtful and caring
With others in our lives as Miller was with us.
And, may his touch remain on us until truly we meet again.

May the peace of the LORD be always with you.

Mary Ann and family,
I will truly miss Miller, as will the many ministries and people that he served. He helped me to see that, while we are imperfect beings, God can still use us in mighty ways... as he did Miller. I pray comfort to you and your family, Mary Ann, and a joyous reunion with the Father for my friend Miller. May you soon be dining at His table...

The Armstrong Family,
Miller,as he asked our daughter to call him, brought our family back into the church, St. Paul's, New Roads. My husband, Wayne, was delighted to have seen Miller recently in connection with the Prison Ministry program at Angola. Miller brought much joy to our family as I know he did yours. We will miss him. To Miller's Family,
I am saddened to learn of Miller's death but we know he did God's work well here on earth and is at Peace.
Miller and I were near contemporaries in Weslaco, and I have visited with Robert many times in Weslaco in years past.

To Miller`s family:
Ed and I send our sincere sympathy to you all. I`m sorry we have never met you . I lived across the street from the first little Episcopal church in Weslaco. Miller was my favorite dance partner at League on Sunday nights. Mercer was not only my neighbor, but friend, too. We will miss Miller, as we do Mercer.
God bless and comfort each of you.
Sincerely,
Ann Waller Fisher

Bro. Miller was also a Graduate of Weslaco High School in 1945 and in that time he was always highly respected as a neighbor, a friend and classmate. I am sure that he will be missed by those who knew him. He will always stay a precious memory in the hearts that he touched. Our regards and Deepest Sympathies go out to his family. Mary Ann, Matt, Slater, Mary Martha and Dorothy,

Thank you for sharing this kind, wonderful man with your church family for so long. I can't even begin to list the many ways he touched my life and the lives of others. His love of the Lord could be seen on his face and heard in his voice. And while he was my priest for many years, he was always much more than that...he was my friend.

The heavenly choir has no doubt gained a few decibels with their newest arrival. And while we can't hear the beautiful music of his life with our ears, we will forever feel it in our hearts.

"Some people awaken us to new and deeper realizations...for we gain insight from the passing whisper of their wisdom."

May God bless and comfort you all during this difficult time. I love you all.

Mrs. Mary Ann, Matt, Slater, Mary Martha, and Dorothy,
I was saddened to her about the Rev. Millers Passing. I have very good memories being around your house, I learned a lot when I was there. When Matt and I got into mischief the Rev. was always on top of things to straighten us out. I can still hear Rev. Miller’s deep voice echoing through the woods during our Boy Scout days, with his famous armadillo call. My thoughts and prayers will always be with y’all.
