Robert Woodell Obituary
OIL CITY, LA – Services for Robert O. Woodell, 67, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2007 in the chapel of Rose-Neath Marshall Street. Officiating will be Pastor Jason McNutt, pastor of Ferry Lake Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Evans Cemetery, Oil City, LA.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
He was a resident of Oil City and a member of Ferry Lake Baptist Church. Robert was a retired Pipe Fitter from Local 237, Texarkana, TX and a lifetime member of American Outboard Federation.
His parents, Herbert and Ruby Sessum Woodell, preceded Robert in death. Survivors are his son, Robert David Woodell of Mooringsport, LA; daughter, Donna Woodell Arender and husband, Mike of Minden, LA; grandchildren, Michael and McKensie Arender both of Minden, LA and Daniel and Brandi Woodell of Vivian, LA; great granddaughter, Allison Woodell; sisters, Jayne Kirkpatrick and husband, Walter of Vivian, LA, Bess Alford and husband, Don of Hallsville, TX and Ruth W. Johnston and husband, H.P. of Oil City, LA; and brother, Jerry Woodell and wife, Betty of Oil City, LA.
Pallbearers will be Billy Walker, Ned Wynn, Barry Procell, Delane Batts, Hansel "Slick" Dickey, Kenneth Fedd, Kenneth Deemer and John King.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Caddo/Bossier Animal Shelter, Humane Society or to the charity of the donor's choice. Rose-Neath Funeral Home

I was very sorry to hear about Robbie. He was so fun to be around when Janis and I were young. I will always remember how he took us riding fast along the country road on his motorcycle...without a helmet. It was so exciting!
