Mr. Ronald Eugene (Red, Rosebud) Kendrick, Sr. died peacefully in Shreveport, LA on August 15, 2017, at the age of 76. Mr. Kendrick is survived by his wife, Shirley Kendrick, his daughters Patti and husband Brian, Missi, and Kassi, as well as loving grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Eunice, mother Beaula, brother Sonny, son Ronald E. Kendrick, Jr., and grandson Joseph Caleb Fitzgerald.

Mr. Kendrick was born on September 21, 1940 in Shreveport, LA, and grew up in Cotton Valley. After a long life in many areas of the country, he returned to Shreveport with his wife for retirement. Mr. Kendrick wished to be remembered as a good man who loved his family.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, August 19, 2017 at The Lighthouse Baptist Church located at 235 Flournoy Lucas in Shreveport. Brother Tommy Allen will officiate. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Shreveport Bossier Mission or the Salvation Army in his memory.

Although a couple of years younger, I remember 'Rosebud' well. Another of Cotton Valley's sons is gone. Condolences to the family.
