Rosie Aline Ricketts Davis

SHREVEPORT, LA - Rosie Aline Ricketts Davis, 81, was born on June 26, 1927 and passed away Saturday, April 18, 2009 in Shreveport, LA after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2009 from 3 PM until 5:30 PM at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Services to follow. Officiating will be Pastor Mark Briggs of Riverpark Church. Aline was most proud of her children and grandchildren, whom she visited faithfully every Sunday. She was born in Arkansas but spent most of her life in Shreveport.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jesse James Ricketts; and daughter, Judy Ricketts Shaw.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, James L. Davis; her daughter, Johnnie Yvonne Ricketts Brooks and husband Wendell, and their three daughters, Cynthia Brooks, Brenda Brooks Campbell and husband Terry and their two children, Dylan and Shelby; Wendy Lynn Brooks Kilpatrick and husband Richie, and their three children, Amanda, Kelsey, and Cody; her daughter, Mary Labonte and husband Roy, and their three children, Mark, Wayne, and Debbie. She is also survived by her deceased daughter's children, Gwen Faurot, John Venable, Jr., Ann Clark, Serena Perkins, and Barney (Dude) Shaw; and numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren and brother, Carl Ricketts and wife Betty of Tyler, TX.
