Dear Family,
I saw the beautiful tribute to Rubye online and took a copy to Mother (Doris Walker Smith). We reminisced about all the fond memories we have of your family. When Mother was a teenager, Rubye would take her home with her for a week's visit during the summer, and Mother loved getting to play with Billie when she was a small child. Rubye was such a sweet cousin to Mother. And then we talked about dear Aunt Nelwyn and those years we had in Shreveport with all of you.

We send our love,
Doris Smith and Donna Aynesworth

To the family of Mrs. Cobb:
You don't know me but I knew your mother when she was working at the Caddo-Shreveport Health Unit when it was located on Kings Hwy. What a dear person she was to me when I first started working at the Health Unit. I had never worked in Public Health and what a dear, sweet person she was to me while she was teaching me all about Family Planning. I will never forget her. Know that you are all in my prayers during this time.
