Sybil Evans Obituary

Sybil Kay May Evans

As you read this newspaper, my family will be preparing to bury me, Sybil Kay May Evans, but I will not be there. I am now breathing free and am happy, no longer in pain or suffering. Through the tunnel of the beautiful light, I will be joined by my husband, Ronald Evans, my son, Ronny Evans and my Grandmother, Mother, Father, Brother and all of the Angels and loved ones who have passed before me who usher me to the feet of Jesus. Finally, I am Home. I was born Feb. 14, 1939 in Charleston, West Virginia and left this world Oct. 3, 2016 with my children by my side.

My life was full with various activities but none could hold a candle to my role as a Mother. I leave behind my son, Matthew M. Evans, Wife, Dana, of Shreveport and my daughter Mary Erin Patterson, husband, Keith of Abita Springs, LA. My role now is Guardian Angel over my precious Grandchildren, Trace Evans, Austin and Garrison Evans, Conner Smith and Chandler Kay Patterson; and my Great Grandchild, Annalee Evans; my dear sister, Ann Carr of Grafton, Ohio and her husband Manuel. I had a few jobs in my lifetime but always considered "Homemaker" as my best occupation. I was blessed to attend North Highlands Methodist Church and will always be grateful to my friends there for their love and support, especially Gary and Mary Baker.

I am so appreciative of those attentive to me, Rhonda Monick, my nieces Vicki Massey and Debbie Howard, as well as the doctors, nurses and staff at WK North.

There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2016 in the Mausoleum at Forest Park East Cemetery, St. Vincent Avenue, Shreveport, LA, with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to North Highlands Methodist Church, 835 Poleman Road, Shreveport, LA 71107.

I didn't know Mrs. Evans but wish I had. What a very lovely obituary. I'm sure she was an angel here on earth as well as sitting beside our Holy Father now. My sympathies to the entire family. God bless you.

I am so sorry for you and your families loss. She is in Paradise where God promises each one of us to return one day. I know the hurt must be unbearable. Just know that you are surrounded with lots of friends and love. I know we do not see each other a lot, but do know I am here if you need me. Lots of love.THE BARREIRO'S
