Virginia Hendricks Hawkins

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Graveside services for Virginia Hendricks Hawkins, 78, will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Hawkins passed away on November 2, 2008 in Shreveport, LA after a lengthy illness with cancer.

Mrs. Hawkins was born to Joseph and Pauline Steinhaus Hendricks on October 9, 1930 in Salina, KS. Her grandparents were the late Amil and Francias Steinhaus. She was the retired owner of Hawkins Appliance Service. Mrs. Hawkins was a member of Barksdale Baptist Church. She was an avid LSU Tiger football fan.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Cecil Hawkins.

Mrs. Hawkins is survived by sons, Larry D. Hawkins and Donald W. Hawkins and daughter, Sandra Lambright and husband Billy, all of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Ericka and David Hawkins and her loving pet, Phoebe.
