Annette C. Anderson

Last Comments Annette C. Anderson passed away at home in Glen Gardner, NJ on October 18th. She is survived by daughter, Lauren Anderson of New York; son, Bruce Anderson and his wife, Kim of Virginia; Grandson, Gerald Brennan of Belmar, NJ; Many cousins, nieces and nephews in the USA and Sweden. Born on Staten Island, NY March 12, 1935, Annette's birth mother died a week after she and her twin brother, Ted were born. She and Ted were adopted by separate families who were close friends. She did not learn of her adoption until she was 17 and thought Ted and older brother Larry were her cousins. All turned out well and they enjoyed many happy times. Annette graduated from Port Richmond High School in January 1953 with perfect attendance and is on the Permanent Honor Roll. She lived many years in Morris, Somerset and Hunterdon counties in NJ and Pueblo, CO. Always an animal lover, when she lived in Pueblo, she had 4 dogs. The last, Nestle, returned with her to NJ in 2007 and remained her best friend until she died in 2013. Annette later adopted an old tabby cat through the Lambertville (NJ) Animal Welfare group. She felt the Good Lord brought Higgins into her life to ease her grief over Nestle. Annette was always active in the Lutheran Church, including Our Savior's on Staten Island and most recently at Spruce Run Lutheran Church in Glen Gardner, NJ. She worked for AT&T in International Cable Engineering for many years. In Pueblo, CO she worked for Crossroads Turning Points as Admin Support Supervisor. She was also active in Order of the Eastern Star, Sons of Norway, and Order of Vasa all on Staten Island; Somerset Valley Players in NJ. She was predeceased by Biological Parents Anna & Hilding Samuelson; Adoptive Parents Borghild & Rudolph Olsen; Brothers Erik Olsen, Larry Samuelson, Ted Beyer; Former Husband Norm Anderson, and her son Allan Anderson. Visitation is at Spruce Run Lutheran Church, West Hill Road, Glen Gardner, NJ, Oct 27, 2021, 11:00 - Noon. Service will begin at Noon, followed by burial in the cemetery beside the church.
