Bryan Dilberian Obituary

Army Veteran, Avid Biker, 'Charismatic & Fun-Loving,' 36 Bryan David Dilberian Jr, 36, of Staten Island passed away peacefully at his home on October 1st, 2022. He is survived by his loving mother and father, Mary Jane and Bryan, sister Samantha, brother-in-law Chris, and brother Devan. His nieces, Cailyn and Zoe, along with his multiple uncles, aunts, and cousins will remember him as a caring, giving person with a heart of gold. Out of all his friends and family, who will miss him, the overall consensus from the family is his good friend Jameson will miss him the most. Bryan Jr. was born on January 18th, 1986 in Brooklyn, New York. Following graduation from Fort Hamilton High School, he attended classes at St. Francis College. He joined the Army in 2010 and served his country in Afghanistan during 2011. Bryan was a very social and outgoing soul who easily made countless friends during his time in the army, locksmithing job, and time working with FDNY. Bryan was a frequent traveler and visited numerous family and friends throughout the country who welcomed him with open arms. He loved riding his motorcycle locally whenever possible, and made the long ride to Sturgis with his closest friends. He enjoyed many activities including fishing, bowling, and darts. Bryan was the life of all the social events he attended. As a charismatic, fun loving person, people would flock to be around him. (He actually had the capability to convince random strangers to take shots out of his leg!) To say Bryan will be missed is an understatement. The impression and memories that he made on everyone he came in contact with will forever be cherished and remembered. His friends and family plan to do everything possible to keep his memory alive. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, 10/7, departing at 9:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Fr. Capodanno Memorial Chapel (Fr. Wadsworth Army Base), at 10:00 am. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends mays visit on Wednesday and Thursday, 10/5 and 10/6, from 1:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. I met Bryan at Walter Reed and did indeed drink out of his leg. He was so funny and sweet. Rest easy my friend.

Gonna miss this guy. I have so many stories...but he was so gracious to me. I went to Walter Reed one day to visit Bryan after he had surgery on his nubs, and although he was in ICU and pumped full of medicine, he insisted it wasn't an intrusion and wanted to "hang out". He was in and out of consciousness during the visit but would wake to crack a joke and fall back under the spell of the medicine. I last saw Bryan in 2018, but he will always be remembered fondly. My deepest condolences to Mary Jane, Samantha, and his family. Love you guys.
