Carmine Loffreno

Former Staten Islander; loving husband, father, grandfather Mr. Carmine Loffreno, 84, of Fort Myers Beach, Florida, formerly of West Brighton, Staten Island, NY, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Caroline (nee Piscopo) for 55 years; loving father of Maria Tepper (David), Claudia Loverdi (Kenneth) and Paul Loffreno (Tanya); cherished grandfather of Michael Tepper, Elena Loffreno, Thomas Loverdi, Lisa Tepper and Alexandra Loffreno. Mr. Loffreno was born in Tricarico, Italy, and emigrated to the United States in 1957, settling in West Brighton. He was employed as a Union Local One Brick Layer for 50 years, retiring at the age of 60. Some of his hobbies included fishing, making homemade pizza in own pizza oven, playing bocce, and he also enjoyed trips to the casino. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Addeo House Hospice. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday, departing at 10:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church at 11:00 am. Visitation on Wednesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
