Claudette "Cande" Adamo, of Staten Island, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2021. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Therese Wilson. Cande was known for her warm personality and beautiful smile. Cande was well known as a pioneer dog groomer for over 40 years. She owned the second dog-grooming salon in the state of New York. Cande, also, worked as a consultant for Jenny Craig for 23 years. Among her many passions was gardening and spending time with her big family who referred to her as Grandma Big Dogs. Cande was a devoted mother to Brad, Wayne, Scott (Isabella), Claudia and Vaughn (Phyllis). She was a blessed grandmother to Danielle (Bobby), Joseph (Aspasia), Brad Jr. (Donna), Christopher, Tina (Vincent), Candice (James), Nicole, Vaughn, Shane, Devin, and Madison. Dear great-grandmother to Jack, Alessandra, Gianna, Bella, Carter and Dallas. Cherished sister to Robert (Peggy). The family will receive friends on Thursday and Friday, September 23 and September 24, from 5pm to 9pm at Scarpaci Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 25 at Holy Child R.C. Church, 4747 Amboy Road, Staten Island, New York.
