Janet A. Smith

Janet A. Smith (nee Sferlazza), of Staten Island, NY passed away on August 26, 2025 at Richmond University Medical Center. She was born August 18, 1953 in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph and Catherine (Romano) Sferlazza. Janet was the beloved wife to the late Alfred Smith. Loving mother to Matthew Smith, who made her life so worthwhile and was a real blessing. She was the dear sister to the late Annette Greco. Devoted aunt to Dominick Greco and cherished great aunt to Lucas Greco. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, August 29th, at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc. 28 Eltingville Blvd. SINY 10312. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 30th, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clare Church, 110 Nelson Ave. SINY 10308. Cremation will be private.
