JoAnn Dempsey-Gagliardi Obituary
JoAnn Dempsey-Gagliardi,76, of New Dorp Beach, passed away peacefully on June 1st after a short illness at Staten Island Northwell Hospital. She was surrounded by family at the time of her death.
JoAnn attended New Dorp High School and graduated in 1965. She was employed by The Bank of Tokyo for 35 years. JoAnn was dedicated to her husband, William Gagliardi, aka Billy Gags, a gifted and well-known musician. She enjoyed spending time in Atlantic City and listening to her husband play in his jazz band at numerous local locations.
She is the daughter of the late Howard and Mary Dempsey, the sister of the late Grace Kane and Richard Andrews. She is survived by her brothers, Howard Dempsey of Delray Beach, FL and Tom Dempsey of Fort Lauderdale, FL. She is predeceased by her husband, William Gagliardi. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was beloved by all and will be greatly missed.
She was memorialized in a short service on June 4th at Hanley Funeral Home in New Dorp.
