August 16, 1959 - January 29, 2022 Kevin M. Walsh, 62, of Staten Island, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Born to the late William J. Walsh and Mary Ann (Mulloy) Walsh, Kevin was a lifelong Staten Islander. He grew up in the New Dorp section of Staten Island and attended Our Lady Queen of Peace grammar school and New Dorp High School. He also attended College of Staten Island. He worked in construction alongside his father William and brother Patrick, keeping the family business going. He was an FDNY fireman from 1984-1992. Kevin loved to joke and was known for his great humor and wit. He loved his large Irish family and was known to his family and friends as Zaz. Kevin loved spending time with his daughter, Kelly Ann Walsh whom he loved dearly. Surviving is his former wife Denise (Marino) Walsh and stepchildren Michael and Jeanette Taurozzi; his brothers and sisters, William Walsh Jr., Martin and Claudia Walsh, Patrick Walsh, Mary Ann and Jack Snyder, Cathy and Ted Anderson and Ellen and John Maloney; his 17 nieces and nephews, 21 great nieces and nephews; and his many Walsh and Mulloy Family cousins. Visitation will be Thursday, February 3, 2022, 4-8 pm at Hanley Funeral Home, 60 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, NY 10306. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Friday, February 4th at 11 am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 61 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, NY 10306. There will be a private cremation at a later date.
