Laura Auer
Loving mother and nan-nan
Laura Auer was born November 28, 1951 in Manhattan to Arthermise "Kay" & Joe Wavrecan. She moved to Staten Island by the age of two. She was a long time resident of New Dorp Beach and attended N.D.H.S. Laura was a kind and genuine person with a beautiful heart and soul. She was married to John Auer for over 40 years. Laura's entire life was dedicated to her four children and she truly adored and protected her seven beautiful grandchildren.
Laura passed on Friday, April 16, 2021, while surrounded by her husband and four children at her bedside.
She is survived by her husband, John Auer, and her four children, John and Deanna Barbaria, and Jason and Jenny Auer, and also seven of her remaining siblings. She is loved and will be missed always.
The viewing will be Thursday at Hanley Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
