Philip Forlenza Obituary

Beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle Philip Forlenza, age 67, formerly from Staten Island and now in Middletown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on June 2nd, 2022. Philip graduated from Susan E. Wagner High School in 1973 and received an Associate Degree from DeVry Institute of Technology. Philip enjoyed being surrounded by his large, loving family and friends. An avid sports fan of the Yankees, Giants Rangers and Knicks. In his younger years, Phil exceled in basketball, baseball and softball and was considered one of the premier shortstops of the men's softball league of Staten Island. Phil had a successful 30-year career at MCI and Verizon, where he concluded as a senior manager of technical services. During the 9/11 tragedy, he headed the technical services team that restored phone services to the underwater cable system. Philip is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Elaine (nee Loo), his precious sons Philip and Matthew, his sister Mary Ann Pinto (Anthony), brother William Forlenza (Kathryn), sister Kathleen Rodriguez and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother Felicia and father William Forlenza. Eternally remembered by the many friends who loved him like family.
