Native Staten Islander, loved his family & friends with all his heart Robert "Bobby" Jenkins, 75, of Freehold, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at home surrounded by family. He was born November 5, 1946. Bobby was a native Staten Islander and proud of it. He attended New Dorp High School and then transferred to Staunton Military Academy in Staunton, VA. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict in Southeast Asia. When he returned from the Air Force, he worked in the automobile business for a total of 38 years. Bobby often said, and truly believed, that people, especially friends, were your best asset in life. He loved being involved and was committed to doing good for others. Bobby was always active in the community where he served as Chairman of the Clubhouse Committee and later became a member of the HOA Board. He was an avid antique toy dealer and collector. Bobby and Carol enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises to warm climates. His wife Carol said, "he loved his family and his friends with all his heart and above all, Bobby had a passion for life that was limitless". He was predeceased by his parents, William and Etta Jenkins; sister, Linda Jenkins; and brother, Bill Jenkins. Bobby is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Jenkins of Freehold; children, whom he loved deeply, Robert Jenkins of Bayville and Jennifer Jenkins of Bluffton, SC; and grandchildren, Emily and Brandon. My deepest sympathy to you and the family, Carol. I share your loss. Robert and I became best friends in kindergarten at Blessed Sacrament and shared many adventures growing up in the long-lost wilds of Staten Island. Those memories still bring a smile. And now, a tear. I will miss you, my old friend. Hail and Farewell.

So sad to see you go far too soon. I will always treasure our memories from the Memoly Motors days where I always said you could sell a snow mobile to people living in the desert and make them believe that one day they will need it. You were the best salesman and I learned so much from you. But most of all you taught me to always be a gentleman, always be respectful towards others. You taught me well. Rest In Peace my dear colleague.
