Vincent Santore Obituary

Vincent Santore passed away peacefully on April 21, 2022 after a long illness. Born in February of 1948 to Jean Guerriero and Vincent Santore at Staten Island Hospital. Growing up on Staten Island, Vincent was a graduate of New Dorp High School and later enlisted in the army where he served in Vietnam for two years. He was honorably discharged and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. After being discharged from the Army, Vincent went to work for ConEdison, also during this time he worked for Volunteer Heart for ten years. He then later worked for Staten Island University Hospital as a security guard. In 2005 Vincent retired from ConEdison after thirty five years, he then later retired from Staten Island University Hospital after twenty years, do to poor health. Vincent is remembered for kindness and compassion. He survived by his wife of thirty five years Sherry Santore (nee Burke), his son Jon Santore and his sister Jane Gleason (nee Santore). Graveside service and burial will be held on Friday June 3, 2022, at Moravian Cemetery at 10 a.m. Arrangements are made by John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals Inc.
