Cassandra Cassada Slater Obituary
CORSICANA, TX - Cassandra Jo Cassada Slater, age 56, of Corsicana, Texas, passed away on June 8, 2025 after a lengthy illness. There are no immediate plans for services but the family will host a celebration of her life at a later time
Jody was born on May 24, 1969at Detmer Hospital in Troy, Ohio to David Ray Cassada and Kathy Ann Lake Cassada. She attended the Sidney City School System, graduating from Sidney High School in 1988. Most of her working life was spent managing various retail locations in the Corsicana and Nacogdoches, Texas areas until she was no longer physically able to do so.
She was preceded in death by her father, her grandparents on both sides, and a niece, Haleigh Cassada and nephew, David (Briar) Cassada. Surviving relatives include her three daughters, Ann Scarborough of Jefferson, Maryland, and Camille and Cecilia Bennett both of the Corsicana area, her mother, Kathy Ann Fergus and step-father, Randy Fergus, and her brothers, David Ray Cassada of Winslow, Arizona and Aaron Michael Fergus of Brownsburg, Indiana.
