Daniel Christman

1961 - 2022

EAST LIBERTY - Daniel Raymond Christman, 60, of 9710 County Rd. 153, East Liberty, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on January 3, 2022 following a serious illness. He was born on August 20, 1961 to Louis Christman and Mary (Monnin) Christman of Anna, Ohio. His mother preceded him in death.

Dan married the love of his life, Carolyn Jane Christman, on April 23, 1988. She survives along with four beautiful children, Daniel Christman, Jr. of Sidney, Zachary (Jessica) Christman of Sidney, Emily (Kyle) Diehl of Columbus, and Audrey Christman. Other relatives include his father, Louis, three brothers, David (Tawana) Christman of Greenville, NC, Gerald (Linda) Christman, of Wapakoneta, and Bill (Joyce) Christman of Sidney, and two sisters, Cindy Bensman of Anna, and Karen (Mike) Kerrigan of Anna, also a granddaughter, Sadie Christman, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dan was a graduate of Anna High School, Class of 1979 and earned an Associate Degree from Edison State Community College, and also attended Bowling Green State University. He worked in customer service for many years at Systemax Manufacturing in Fletcher as a certified A+ computer technician and at the Holiday Inn front desk in Sidney prior to that.

He had a passion for all the Cleveland sports teams, but especially Cleveland Browns football. He also painted, collected, and enjoyed the hobby of miniature wargaming, passing that on to his sons. He loved his family and supporting his children in their school activities through the years and was a family game night enthusiast and expert player at Trivial Pursuit.

Dan was an active member at Middleburg United Methodist Church working on the missions and outreach ministry team and participating in and often teaching Sunday school. He had a deep faith and love for the Lord and was an inspiration to many.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Middleburg United Methodist Church, 11824 St. Rt. 287, East Liberty, with the Rev. Ed Beale, officiating. Interment will be in Miami Memorial Park in Covington, OH on Tuesday, January 11th at 11:00 AM for any friends and family who wish to attend the graveside service. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday, January 7th at the Middleburg United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Muscular Dystrophy Association or the Middleburg United Methodist Church.
