FORT LORAMIE -- David Kenneth Rose, Age 61, of Cardo Road, Fort Loramie, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord from his earthly home on Monday evening, February 21, 2022. He was born March 19, 1960, in St. Marys, Ohio, to Ramona (Muhlenkamp) Rose of Fort Loramie & the late Kenneth Rose. On September 22, 1978, at St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen, Dave married Amy Jo (Waterman) Rose who survives. Also surviving are four children: Brianna & Ben Mannier of Minster, Jenelle & Doug Roach of Fort Loramie, Brittany & Craig Boeckman of Hilliard and Tyler & Lisa Rose of New Bremen; Seven grandchildren: Cassidy, McKenna and Noah Mannier, Derrick, Jared, Wyatt and Ellie Roach; five siblings: Mike & Lori Rose, Cindy & Jim Moore, Rich & Brenda Rose, Ron & Sue Rose and Brad & Kelly Rose, all of Fort Loramie; sisters & brothers-in-law: Rena & Bill Veit of Lenoir, NC, Cyndi & Stan Bergman of Phoenix, AZ, Craig Waterman of St. Marys, Julie & Dave Kettler of Kettlersville and Brad & Kim Waterman of New Knoxville as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Steven Rose and in-laws, Donald & Alice Waterman.
Mr. Rose was a 1978 graduate of Fort Loramie High School. He had been employed with Logan Services for ten years and was previously employed for 23 years at Paul Sherry Chevrolet. He was a member of Fort Loramie Sons of American Legion, the Fort Loramie Athletic Booster Club, GYM Committee and the Newport Sportsman's Club.
Dave was an enthusiastic sports fan, especially following the Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. He was a devoted Christian and enjoyed partaking in worship with his family members. Dave truly loved spending time with all of his "Howser" friends and family.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Monday, February 28, 2022, at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie with Pastor Matthew Thomas presiding. Interment will follow at German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen. Friends may call Sunday 2:00 to 7:00 PM and Monday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Fort Loramie Rescue Squad or Wilson Health Hospice. Private condolences may be expressed at www.gehretfuneralhome.com.
