SIDNEY — John M. Hull, age 71, of Sidney, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
He was born on Dec. 7, 1944, in Piqua to the late Vernon and Evelyn (Grilliot) Hull. On June 13, 1970, he married Sue Ann Hemmelgarn. She survives.
John is also survived by by three children, Cindy (Tom) Frantz, Lisa (Rocky) Anderson and Johnny (Sara) Hull, all of Sidney; brother, Robert (Patti) Hull, of Lakewood, Florida; sister-in-law, Gayle Hull, of Lakewood, Florida; and grandchildren, Ashtin Frantz, Zach Frantz, Gavin Anderson, Mason Anderson, Rockelle Anderson, Brycen Hull and Emma Hull.
John was a 1963 graduate of Marion Local High School. He was the former owner/operator of White Front Bar and take out Grill in Sidney. John proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 217 in Sidney. John was also a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney. He was an avid Reds and Bengals fan, and he loved fishing and golf.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Holy Angels Catholic Church with the Rev. James J. Riehle as celebrant. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. Full military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 217.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.
