Marsha Watson Obituary

SIDNEY - Marsha June (nee rulau) Watson PhD, 66, passed away on July 28, 2021 in Hudson Illinois. Marsha was born on June 7, 1955 in Algonac MI. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1973.

After serving over 7years in the Navy, she earned her BS and MA degrees from Northern Illinois University, and a PhD in English from the University of WI. Marsha excelled in the world of academia, serving as a faculty member, an Associate Professor, a Dean of Graduate Studies, a Director of Assessment and a ViceProvost at a variety of institutions.

Marsha is preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank and her

parents, Russell & Darlene Rulau and Prudence Rulau. She is survived by her siblings: Lance Rulau, Carla Rulau Layman, Russ Rulau and Roberta Rulau MacLeod, all of Florida; Scott Rulau of Texas, Sharon Modia Michalski of Wisconsin, Yvonne Rulau Christopher of Ohio, and Kyle Rulau of Minnesota, as well as 17 nieces and nephews. She will be sorely missed by family, friends and colleagues.
