SIDNEY — Nancy L. Nolte, age 73, of Sidney, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at her residence. She was born February 12, 1947 in Sidney, to the late Marion L. Baker and Martha L. (Tebbe) Baker.
Nancy married Michael William Nolte on July 8, 1972, and he survives in Sidney.
Also surviving are son, Michael William (Katie) Nolte of Iowa City, Iowa, grandchildren: Casper, Patrick, Nora, and Felicity; sisters: Marilyn (Albert) Sommer of Sidney, Connie Rosenbeck of Sidney, Barbara Burton of Sidney, and brother Ronald (Debra) Baker of Bellefontaine, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by brothers: William E. Baker, James D. Baker, and Michael Baker.
Nancy was a 1965 graduate of Holy Angels Catholic School. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney. She was retired with over 30 years of service from Schaffer Insurance Company where she was an insurance agent in the Sidney office. She was also a den mother in Cub Scout Pack 95. In her private time she enjoyed puzzles, cross stitch, and spending time with her family. Nancy was a devoted grandmother who excelled at making her home a warm, welcoming place for her grandchildren's visits.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the Holy Angels Catholic Church, 324 S. Ohio Avenue, Sidney with Father Andrew Hess officiating.

Mike & family you have my deepest condolences for the loss of Nancy. You are in my thoughts and I am praying for you. I was devastated to hear that Nan had passed away. I think of her often. She was the best friend I could have ever wished for, always so caring and ready to give a big hug. Please know Mike that I am so terribly sorry you´re having to go through this horrible loss. So sorry to hear about Nancy. She was a good friend to me for well over 30 years. Enjoyed our trips to Ludington all the laughter around the campfires. May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. RIP
