JACKSON CENTER - Paula J. March, 75, of Jackson Center, passed away Friday morning, September 19, 2025, at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
Paula was born in Sidney, Ohio, on March 8, 1950, to the late Eugene and Doris (Zwiebel) Fogt. She married Robert L. March on April 3, 1993, and he preceded her in death on July 26, 1995. Paula was also preceded in death by two sisters, Karla Vicario and Diane Supinger, and a brother-in-law Vernon Holthaus.
Paula is survived by her siblings: Marcia Holthaus, Nina (Charles) McGee, and Steve (Marsha) Fogt; a brother-in-law Joe Vicario; several nieces and nephews; and three step-children: Robert, Richard, and Melissa.
A 1968 graduate of Jackson Center High School and 1969 graduate of Northwestern in Lima, Paula worked for 38 years at Sprint Telephone company before retiring in 2007. She then went to work at US Bank as a teller and retired again in 2015. Paula was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Jackson Center, she was baptized on April 16, 1950, and confirmed on May 17, 1964. She was also a member of Circle 1 at Grace, the Junior American Club in Jackson Center, and the Jackson Center Senior Citizens.
Paula will be remembered for her deep devotion to her friends and family. She loved to cook and entertain at gatherings. Her family will remember her with the games she provided for family events, and the thoughtfulness and appreciation that showed her love for each of them. Paula will be deeply missed.
Pastor Shelly Schultz will officiate Paula's funeral service on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 12 noon at Grace Lutheran Church, 607 S. Main St. Jackson Center. The family will receive friends from 10am until the service at noon. Burial will be in Glen Cemetery, Port Jefferson.
