Rita Coffman Obituary

Rita D. Coffman, 89, of Fair Haven Shelby County Home, 2901 Fair Road, Sidney, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at 6:35 a.m. at the home.
She was born Feb. 15, 1923, in Botkins, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Ebert) Frankenberg. She married Othel Bernard Coffman on Oct. 30, 1943, and he preceded her in death Jan. 27, 2004.
Surviving are four children, Keith Coffman and wife, Martha, of Sidney, Randy Coffman and wife, Suzanne, of Cincinnati, Kelcey Coffman and wife, Carolyn, of Cincinnati, and Yvonne Coffman, of Cincinnati; nine grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Cleo Ernst and husband, Fritz, and Evelyn Seger, both of Fort Loramie; and two sister-in-laws, Delores Frankenberg, of Sidney and Pat Frankenberg, of Florida.
Four brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Mrs. Coffman was a 1941 graduate of Holy Angels School in Sidney. She was the head cook at Longfellow Elementary School in Sidney for many years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart Altar Society at the church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Angels Catholic Church Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. Dan Schmitmeyer. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney.
Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45206. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.

Dear Keith and family,
Just saw in the Dayton news about your mothers passing. She was a lovely and my parents,Mick. And Ludy Elliott always enjoyed your parents. I was Minnie Elliott's granddaughter,Linda.
I live in WV and go back to Dayton once or twice a year. mike lives in mt.giliad,Ohio,Rick is in Mason,Ohio.
