SIDNEY -- Robert (Bob) M. Jameson, 83, of Sidney, Ohio, was called home to Heaven on November 21, 2022, at Wilson Health surrounded by his family in Sidney, Ohio. He was born August 8, 1939, in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of Delbert and Helen (McIntosh) Jameson who are deceased. In 1965, Bob married Judy (Purkey) Jameson and she survives.
In addition to his loving wife of 57 years, he is also survived by three children, Rob (Tiffany) Jameson of Sidney, Laura Jameson of Dublin, Ohio, and Amy (Sean) McGill of Sidney; one brother James (Mary) Jameson of Hamilton, Ohio; sister-in-law Regina (Darrell) Long of Dayton, Ohio; five amazing grandchildren, Evan and Alyssa Jameson, Ryan, Mya, and Jack McGill, and two bonus grandchildren, Chase and Carter VanTilburgh all of Sidney; eight beloved nieces and nephews and their spouses and children; along with several cherished friends. Bob was preceded in death by both his parents; one sister, Betsy Jameson, and brother-in-law, Doug Purkey.
Bob graduated from Fairfield High School in Hamilton, Ohio, class of 1957. After proudly serving in the United States Navy, he spent his subsequent career working in the banking industry for over 35 years in Sidney. He was a member of the Elks, American Legion, Lions Club and was also a member at Pasco-United Methodist Church in Sidney. Bob always enjoyed being outdoors as much as possible whether that be on his semi-annual fishing trips to the Northwoods in Wisconsin or tending to his vegetable garden in the summer or sitting around a bonfire with his children and grandchildren sharing with them his 83 years of wisdom. Bob was dearly loved by all those who knew him and will be greatly missed.
In keeping with Bob's wishes, he will be cremated, and a private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Robert's final resting place will be at Pearl Cemetery.
