BERNE — Ruby G. Litton, 84, a resident of Berne, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was a former rural Bryant resident.
Ruby was born on Aug. 3, 1931, in Oneida, Tennessee, the daughter of Daniel and Minnie (Anderson) Terry. She worked for Community Care East Nursing Home in Portland from 1989 to 2000. She married Dillard Lee Litton on Dec. 2, 1947, and he passed away on Aug. 12, 2000.
Survivors include six sons, Douglas Litton, of Portland, Indiana, Robert Litton, of Seattle, Washington, Jeffrey Litton, of Sidney, Ohio, Timothy Litton, of Berne, Indiana, Anthony Litton (wife Lori) of Redkey, Indiana, and Rex Litton (wife Jessica) of Portland, Indiana; five daughters, Eunice Watson (husband William) of Knotts Island, North Carolina, Brenda Litton, of Portland, Indiana, Rita Miller (husband Jay) of Sidney, Ohio, Karen Litton of Covington, Ohio, Linda Seiber, of Sun City, Missouri; one sister, Irene Davidson, of Ballwin, Arizona; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two children, Thomas Litton and Rhonda Curme.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in Gravel Hill Cemetery, west of Bryant.
