Daniel Lowe Obituary

1944 – 2012

Daniel Louis Lowe was born February 7, 1944 in Cincinnati, OH. He passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012, at the age of 68, at home in Canyon Country, CA, due to complications related to lung problems.

Dan is survived by his wife Lynette Lowe of Canyon Country, CA; his daughter Rosalyn Lowe of Woodland Hills, CA; his son James Daniel Lowe of Phoenix, AZ; his brother William C. Lowe of Bullhead City, AZ; his grandchildren: Jacquelyn Lowe of North Hollywood, CA; Michael Levi Rich of Woodland Hills, CA; Wesley Hainey of Davis, CA; Amber Loss of Waddel, AZ; Faith Lowe of Ontario, Canada; Sunny Lowe of Ontario, Canada; his great-grandchildren: Jack Loss Jr. of Waddel, AZ; Emma Loss of Waddel, AZ; his best friends Rocky Lowe and Flea Lowe of Canyon Country, CA; his aunt Betty Manning of Kentucky; his niece Betty Stabler of Greenville, AL; his sister-in-laws Kathy Weber and Wendy Hagenson of Sylmar, CA.

He was preceded in death by his father James Joshua Lowe, his mother Mary Lenora Lowe, nephew John William Lowe, granddaughter Amanda Lynn Hardy, and best friend Zephyr Lowe.

A resident of Canyon Country, CA for 32 years, Dan was a previous resident of Burbank, CA and worked in the aerospace industry for 50 years. He and his wife Lynette owned Dan's Precision Grinding and Thread Rolling located in Sun Valley, CA for 35 years, then moved to Valencia, CA for the past 7 years. He was a member of the NTMA (National Tooling & Machining Association). Dan was well known throughout the San Fernando Valley, as well as, the Santa Clarita Valley.

"Dan loved to gamble, loved his family, and loved his dogs. He was a one-of-a-kind true 'Southern Gentleman'. He loved God, loved people, and would give you the shirt off of his back. He always wore a hat, usually a black one. He was very patriotic and had signs on his truck to support our troops and our jobs. He was passionate about keeping manufacturing in the USA. He was a 'good old boy' from the South. He loved animals and would not even hurt a fly. He actually made his family relocate spiders that had made their home in the house. He helped many people achieve their goals. He loved country, 5o's, and Gospel music. He loved old cars. Things you would hear him say: 'Hello, Partner! Bitchin'! God Bless You! Have a Really Nice Day!' Dan passed away on his granddaughter's and great-grandson's birthday, August 25. Dan and Lynette just celebrated their 47th Anniversary on August 7. Our hearts are broken and only time can heal us."

Visitation is Friday, August 31, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 N. Thank you everyone for showing myself
and my family such respect.

I miss Dan everyday and its difficult
to go to the shop and see that he is not there. I have my daughter Rosalyn and granddaughter Jackie to comfort me at the shop and my grandson Michael to
comfort me on the week ends. So I am doing o.k. and everyday when I come home and Dan is not there, my dogs comfort me. All my friends have been so wonderful and church is helping me heal from my loss of such a wonderful husband.

I just wanted to share with the family how much I did enjoy working with Dan. After reveiwing the Photo Gallery everyone can see the father and the man who loved his wife and the time he spent with his family. I know you all are hurting and God will heal the pain in your hearts. I have lost both my mom and dad and you never forget the time they spent telling you how much they love you. To Lynette I send my most heartfelt warm hugs. Please know your comfort and joy are in my prayers. What you and your husband did for my family will always be an example of the light you two are in this world, so giving and accepting. You have such an amazing heart.

To Dan, you wore that hat so well sir! Your charisma and genuine care for others was obvious in your ability to help without questions. Now, you are free, I wonder what your building up there, and hey, get my son Noah to help you! Put that boy to work! Your in my heart forever! Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Dan, the man, with the perfect hat over your handsome face. Reading how those who loved you will miss you so, I'm absolutely positive Roz will, one of my bestest buds, spoke of you as though you were the perfect dad. I heard how loyal you were to Lynette, your wife, and your family, how hard working and dedicated to your business, and something about you, that Roz also spoke of, but which was also obvious, someone most everyone would enjoy hanging with, seemingly not a critical bone to your body, or at least that is how free and easy, even super stylin', and fun having, you came across... & yet, so committed towards keeping the regular responsible routine going... which was quite the feat, for one who 'held down the fort.' Way teh go Dan, seriously... hugely accountable stand up guy, with the 'totally happening dude' affect going on... takes a giving soul to keep both tracks running. And quite the miracle man it seems... someone I'm going to enjoy hooking up with in heaven... see yea then Dan- Love you awesome daughter Roz like a sister, cherish her children too... & all from you... and Lynnette too... Incredible - Psalms 23 - Surely goodness and love will follow you - here on earth, for I believe you left so much love behind - & we'll be seein' yea 'dwellin' and diggin' it up in the house of the Lord soon! Daniel Lowe-
You showed your total devotion and love to your daughter when you rented the house for Roz and her children. What you did was an act of love that really impressed me and showed by your actions how God has made you to be, Now you are with our Savior.

On a couple of occasions Dan & myself were going someplace in my van. I put on my Don Williams CD and Dan liked it so much he borrowed it to make a copy. Then he would always say, lets go to Vegas. We never did but he would always say it. I always thought of Dan as Johnny Cash - The man in black. See you on the otherside one day "PARTNER"

To all our loyal customers and friends,
our hearts are so broken without my
wonderful husband in our lives.
I do not know how to be without him as
we have been together in marriage since
I was l6. We worked together everyday for 40 years, I have lost half of me. He truely was a legend in many ways, in his humble way,his kind
wonderful heart and generous nature. He was so well known in the Centerless Grinding and Thread Rolling business. He touched so many lives, and anyone who knew him loved and respected him. He loved his family and friends. There will be a terrible void
in all our lives. In Dan's honor I , Roz, Jackie and Michael will continue to run Dan's Precision Grinding with the same on time deliveries as well as the Quality that Dan prided himself on. He was in so much
pain but now he is with his Lord in peace. Dan's loving wife Lynette

Your sister in law, Kathleen Weber

No words can fully express my feelings, and thoughts about my brother in law Daniel Lowe. Danny has been a very sincere, and proper gentleman, and a gentle - man. He had always been very generous, and kind. Danny always had a story to tell, or just a kind word that made you feel special. He couldn't have been more caring. I will always remember going horseback riding with Danny and Lynette. We came to a steep hill, and Lynette and I took a safe route down the side of the hill. Danny kicked his horse Dolamite, and yelled, "YEE HAW!" ,and went right down the steepest part of the hill. I never laughed so hard that day when he made it to the bottom of the hill all in one piece. He just went for it. That's been the way he has lived his life. He took the best and worst of life in stride. You will be missed greatly. Half of a wonderful couple has been split, but one day you will reunite. God bless your family, and all the wonderful memories you have left us all with.

August 29, 2012

DAN, YOU WERE EXTREMELY MISSED, BUT NOW WE ARE SO COMFORTED IN THE ASSURANCE OF YOUR REST IN THE ARMS OF JESUS. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED AS OUR "DAPPER DAN", THAT TALL HANDSOME GENTLEMAN WHO ALWAYS SMILED AS HE TIPPED HIS COWBOY HAT. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN....

My best memories of Dan were when I was a horrid teenager... hanging out with his "Perfect girl" Roz. Dan was always loving his wife and kids from all the dangers of the world. He worked hard, and was alway there to share a word to the wise (Even if you didn't want to hear it!) Dan, the world was a better place with you in it, and you will be missed dearly. May your family continue to be blessed with the opportunity to honor your memory and the values you shared with them.
