Frances Lentz Obituary

1933 - 2014

Frances Marie Lentz, dubbed "Francy" by her husband, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Henry Mayo Hospital in Valencia, CA. She bravely battled cancer for close to two years. Frances was born in Erie, PA on October 4, 1933. She married her girlhood sweetheart, Thomas "Tommy" Lentz, who preceded her to heaven in April of 2013.

After raising their three children, Frances got a job with the College of the Canyons when they were just in temporary trailer housing. She worked for the next 25 years and retired as Administrator to the Dean of Admissions. She loved that job and the people she had the joy to work with and help every day.

She is survived by her sons David (Wendey) Lentz and Charles (Candy) Lentz; her daughter Lorrie (Stephen) Townsend; her granddaughters Laci Lane and Kelty Hunt, great-grandsons Jordan, Adrian, and Jackson, and one new granddaughter on the way; her niece Dr. Karen Lee Rathburn; her brothers Joseph and Raymond.

Frances will be laid to rest on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321. There will be a chapel service for her that starts at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome.
