July 17, 1928 – August 1, 2025
Granada Hills - Henry "Hank" Arklin, 97, of Granada Hills, Ca. passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025. Hank was born July 17, 1928 in Albany, Ca., the son of Haig and Queenie Arklin.
Hank was a businessman and civic leader in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys and owner of North Valley Construction which he founded over 65 years ago. Hank was a dedicated statesman and public servant having served in the California State Assembly in 1968-1970 representing the San Fernando Valley.
We are also grateful for Hank's philanthropy making generous contributions to so many charities. If there was a cause, Hank was there to help. He was a force in all he did.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Louise, his nieces Michele Hannah of Santa Clarita and Lenora Wechter of Fallbrook his nephews Levon Arklin and Phil Arklin of Palmdale and Steve Arklin of Santa Clarita along with six great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Church of the Hills Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills on Wednesday August 20th at 12:30 p.m. followed by internment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Ararat Home of Los Angeles at 15105 Mission Hills Road, Mission Hills Ca., 91345 or to St. Peters Armenian Apostolic Church at 17231 Sherman Way, Van Nuys, Ca. 91406.
