JOHN CARROLL Obituary
John is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years Janice (Murphy), his son Matthew and daughter Lisa, his sisters MaryAnn (Bob) Rhodes of Wichita, KS, Evelyn (Malcolm) Turner o Frontenac, KS. His Sisters-in-law Beth Muraida, Nancy Carlson, his brothers-in-law Wayne Murphy, Gerry Murida, and his nieces and nephews, Jeff, Amy, , Ben, Pete, Kenyon, Lauren, Adam, Josh, Eryl and Nick.
Services will be held at St. Clare's Catholic Church in Canyon Country on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 11am, with visitation and rosary at Eternal Valley on Sunday from 4-6pm, Canyon Country, and a memorial at El Segundo United Methodist Church Tuesday 11:30.
John's family wrote, "John had a deep seated love of his family, his beautiful home in Valencia, golfing with friends and family, his country and service in the navy, and working with the engineers at Boeing. John will be remembered as an incredible genius and unsung hero in the lives he touched. He was always ready to help anyone, anytime anywhere, with no questions asked."

John's family: I was so sad to hear of John's passing. John was a friend of more than 50 years, as we both grew up on Ashby Street. We shared many adventures and several of us, as young men served in the Navy in the San Diego area. Please take comfort in knowing how much John was loved. God bless you all. And God bless John !

I will miss you dearly. You were more of a friend than a manager. Literally the best manager I ever had. I remember one time we had a long talk about my personal family issues in your office. He made himself available; he stepped up to really challenging issues with integrity and accountability and stayed committed through closure. He cared about his employees and doing the right thing. Prayers and love and our Faith will truly get us all through this loss, but have been saddened to hear that John is no longer with us. He was surely taken too soon. "The Three Amigos" will always be. John dear friend, you may not be here in the physical sense but, for Jose and I you will always be with us in our daily walk.
Our lunch time will never be the same without you but that is a small price to pay for the richness you gave us while you were here. I will miss the times we spent together getting through life and the sharing of our love for our families.
