I am pleased to have known John Carroll as my manager at Boeing. He once gave me a pen from the Hughes Space and Communications Company that I still have. I enjoyed working with him.

John's family: I was so sad to hear of John's passing. John was a friend of more than 50 years, as we both grew up on Ashby Street. We shared many adventures and several of us, as young men served in the Navy in the San Diego area. Please take comfort in knowing how much John was loved. God bless you all. And God bless John !
I will miss you buddy !

John John,

I will miss you dearly. You were more of a friend than a manager. Literally the best manager I ever had. I remember one time we had a long talk about my personal family issues in your office. You listened to every word, welcomed my shedding tears and gave me the encouraging words I needed. I will never forget that day. Thank you.

Janice,
John was a great friend and I will miss him. We had some great times and long conversation while in the Navy. But I remember the most is growing up with HIM and the St. Pat's group.

To John's family: It was a privilege to work with John in his manager role. He made himself available; he stepped up to really challenging issues with integrity and accountability and stayed committed through closure. He cared about his employees and doing the right thing. I will miss John's subtle wit, and his friendly greetings in the hallway. My prayers for God's peace for you all, fond memories always.

John, You've been a wonderful mentor and friend. I never thought I would meet another person at work, much less my manager, who knew what it was like to have a special needs teenage boy. I am forever grateful for your wisdom and patience. Your family and our Boeing family has been truly blessed.

"The Three Amigos" will always be. John dear friend, you may not be here in the physical sense but, for Jose and I you will always be with us in our daily walk.

Our lunch time will never be the same without you but that is a small price to pay for the richness you gave us while you were here. I will miss the times we spent together getting through life and the sharing of our love for our families.

My life is so much more enriched for having had you as my best friend.
It is and will be a tough road to endure without you. May God grant me the priviledge to one day join you for lunch in heaven.

Forever friends,
ejr
