Wendy Lee Chase

Wendy Lee Chase, age 51, a resident of Newhall and Castaic, California, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on August 28, 2025. Born in Panorama City, California, on December 15, 1973, she was the beloved daughter of Robert Francis Chase and Marilyn June Chase.
Wendy Lee shared a special bond as a twin sister and faced life with courage and grace despite being born with cerebral palsy. She thrived in the special education program and proudly graduated from William S. Hart High School in 1995.
She found joy and community at the First Presbyterian Church of Newhall. Wendy Lee radiated happiness and was known for her kindness, love for others, and her bright smile that lit up every room. She cherished time with her family and her church, and she loved music and dancing, swimming, animals, and all her pets. She enjoyed playing board games, with Connect Four being one of her favorites. Wendy Lee also loved Disney, especially Mickey and Minnie Mouse, who always brought her joy and a smile to her face. She had many adventures traveling across the United States by RV with her parents. Family was the center of Wendy Lee's life. She adored celebrating holidays and birthdays surrounded by the love of her family.
She is survived by her devoted mother, Marilyn Chase; her loving sisters and brothers-in-law: Julie Chase, Noel Abbate (Joe), Amy Lombardo (Jason), and her twin sister, Wendy Lynn Pohl (Chris). She is also survived by her cherished nieces and nephews: Dillon Lombardo, Justin Lombardo, Amanda Lombardo (Cody Astone), Emily Godfrey (Daniel), Grace Abbate, Hunter Pohl, Kaden Pohl, and Ashlynn Pohl; as well as many extended family members and friends who deeply loved her.
Wendy Lee is preceded in death by her father, Robert Francis Chase; her grandparents Hazel and Floyd Freudenthal, Frances and Carl McLaughlin, and Frank Chase; along with many Aunts and Uncles.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the
First Presbyterian Church of Newhall,
24317 N. Newhall Ave., Newhall, CA 91321.
A reception will follow to honor her life and the many hearts she touched.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
