William Brintnall Obituary
June 3, 1950 - April 22, 2025
Santa Clarita - William Elgy "Bill" Brintnall, a respected architect and community advocate, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, at the age of 74 in North Hollywood, California. Born on June 3, 1950, in Charlevoix, Michigan, Bill's early years were spent in East Jordan before his family moved to Cadillac, Michigan in 1964, where he graduated from Cadillac High School in 1968.
His pursuit of architecture led him to the University of Detroit Mercy, where he earned his degree in architecture in 1974. After moving to the Los Angeles area in 1980, Bill established himself as a respected leader in healthcare architecture throughout Southern California. His commitment to the local community was further exemplified through his involvement in the development of Bridge to Home's permanent shelter in Santa Clarita.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Shannon Brintnall; daughter Laura Brintnall; sons Will Brintnall and Cameron Brintnall; granddaughter Matilda Hougey; his mother, Willa Brintnall; his three stepchildren; sisters Donna Crosby, Gloria Rad, and Patricia Geer; and brother Robert Brintnall. Bill was predeceased by his father, Elgy Brintnall.
A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 24901 Orchard Village Road, Santa Clarita, California 91355. Reception to follow in the parish hall. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed.
Bill leaves behind a legacy built not only through architecture but through acts of dedication to the community, and his love for family and friends. May his memory be a blessing. Donations in his name can be made at https://btohome.org/donate.
