He taught Sunday school wherever he attended for over 40 years and was also active in Gideons. His family was also of great importance to him. He made up parables to teach his own children and then retold them to the grandchildren.

Condolences to the family of Dr. Lamb
As a boy on the farm just outside Sioux City, I remember when Dr. Lamb would visit. While my dad had a grasp of most of the veterinary needs of the livestock & poultry, there were those occasions when Dr. Lamb had to be called. When that happened, we knew it was serious!
He was always patient & friendly...and had time for a boy with a lot of questions.
Watching him work convinced me that I wanted to become a veterinarian. That never happened (I became a Civil Engineer), but the lessons took hold that I learned from him about working hard academically.
I am grateful for what he taught me.
