Frances 'Joanne' Froggatt

formerly of Sioux City

Frances 'Joanne' Froggatt, 90, formerly of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021, in Omaha.

In accordance with Joanne's wishes, there will not be a service.

Joanne was born Nov. 7, 1930, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Beattie and Mid (Spooner) Martin. Joanne married James Froggatt on August 9, 1956. Together they raised twin daughters, Lynn and Leigh. Joanne moved to Sioux City in 2002.

Joanne was a natural athlete, and was fiercely competitive in any sport she tried. Growing up, Joanne rode horses, played softball and curled. She also taught swimming and was a life guard. As an adult, Joanne added tennis and golf to her repertoire.

Joanne excelled at many crafts. She was an excellent seamstress, frequently sewing her own clothes. She loved to knit, providing blankets for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joanne is survived by her husband, James; daughters, Lynn and Leigh; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

I was back visiting Sioux City from IOhio and wanted to visit Jim and Joann. I am saddened to hear about Joann´s passing. My condolences to Jim, Leigh, and the family. Please tell Jim to take care of himself. They were good neighbors.
