Lora L. Wessling, 89, of Sioux City, passed away Aug. 26, 2025. Visitation: September 2nd, at Mater Dei Parish Nativity Church, 10 to 11 a.m., with funeral, 11 a.m. Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Christy-Smith Funeral Home, Morningside Chapel.

I'm so very sorry to learn of her passing. We were friends since about age 5. We lived next door to each other for some of those years, until her parents bought the house on Main. We moved to Montana the summer that we finished our Freshman year, but stayed in touch through phone calls, cards and letters. The last few years I called her on her birthday. Sadly, I missed this year because i was recuperating from a brain injury from a fall in June. The last time I saw her was at a class reunion about 10 years ago. My sincere sympathy to her family. She was such a beautiful person!
