In 4th grade we moved to the Longfellow school area. I met a neighbor boy and asked about 4th grade girls in the neighborhood. He gave me 3 names.
I came home looked up their numbers and called saying, Hi this is Kathy Johansen, I just moved here. Will you be my friend?" Michele Carroll said, "can you come over right now with your barbies? I went over.
I slept over that night and we became best friends. We listened to this song many times together.
Goodbye Michelle my little one
You gave me love and helped me find the sun
And every time that I was down
You would always come around
And get my feet back on the ground
Goodbye Michelle it's hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Now that the spring is in the air
With the flowers everywhere
I wish that we could both be there
