Barb: You probably don't remember me but I ran around with Bill during our years in high school. My dad had the Den Chili Parlor and my sister was the owner after dad passed. Anyway, I wanted to know how sorry I am for your loss. Growing up in the 50 & 60's was crazy. We gave Bill the nickname of "Smitty". Don't remember why or how we came up with the name. We really had some good times together. We had a really close group of guys. After I left for college in 1961, came home a few times and we got together during the summer. I saw Bill on the train while going to the School Board Conv. in Chicago. Had a nice talk. Marianne told me about Bill's passing and I am really sorry. I started thinking about some of the wild times we had. Barb, sorry for your loss. I do remember when Bill started dating you. Again, sorry for your loss.

It was an honor to work for Bill at Fitch-Fitzgerald from 1989 to 1998. Learned many lessons that I still use today. Here's to a great person that he was.

It's been many years since I saw Bill. I worked for him in the mid 90s and time passes so quickly...I know he loved and was so proud of his family. May they find comfort in that during this difficult time. Farewell, Bill...
