FLORIDA - Brian Arthur Connery, 53, born Dec. 19, 1961 – passed away Aug. 25, 2015.
Brian A. Connery, was born in Omaha, Neb., raised in Springfield, Ill., and earned a B.S. in Chemistry with honors from the University of Illinois in 2001.
An avid fisherman his entire life and dedicated Chemistry and Science teacher at Everglades High School in Miramar, FL since 2004, Brian passed away August 25 , 2015, after a short-lived, but fierce and very brave battle with cancer. The cancer did not win….only allowed him again to stand on his own legs, and sprint up steep hills as he so loved to do as a young man.
Brian, you will be sorely missed by family and friends alike…., may you R.I.P.

I had the pleasure of knowing Brian as a step father. He was kind, funny and always there for me growing up on weekends with my mom. He taught me a great deal of things and for that I will always be greatful. Although over the years we lost touch he always was in my heart. He will be missed and my prayers and love are sent to his family and friends in this time. Rest in peace Brian!

Prayers & Condolences for the Connery Family. What a gentle soul Brian was. I ran into Brian @ Il. State Fair one summer, he was living in Staunton at the time. We so enjoyed rehashing the memories of the old neighborhood. We decided to take in a round of golf the next day ; humbling experience, for me. He was very poised & courteous as he out drove me from the cart. His strength, both bodily & mentally out did me on any given day. God Bless you Brian. You taught me to 'never give up'.

Brian, I have missed working with you since you left our office in the mid 90s and returned to school. I have been so proud of you for going from learning more and getting a degree to teaching others. I wish we could have had other opportunities to work together. You will be greatly missed, Big Guy.

Brian,
Although I did not know for a long time, you made such a profound impact that will stay with me forever. I am sure this is even more true for the many students and teachers who knew you personally at Everglades High. May God bless you.
