Cheryl L. James
VIRDEN - Cheryl L. James, 69, of Virden, Ill., passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at her home.
Cheryl was born June 5, 1944, in Jacksonville, Ill., a daughter to Harold "Toad" and Grace (Jacobs) Nichols. She worked as an activity professional for area nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
Cheryl is survived by her daughters, Jacquelyn L. James of Virden, Ill., Dawn R. Meredith of Conyers, Ga., Ronda J. (Paul) Beams of Girard, Ill., and Marci L. (Guy) McCarrey of Normal, Ill., a sister, Edrie L. Pinon of Vandalia, Ill., 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceding in death were her parents.
Cremation rites are being accorded by Calvert & Ferry Funeral Home Virden, Ill. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church, in Virden, Ill., with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cheryl's family in care of Calvert & Ferry Funeral Home, Virden, Ill. Please leave a comment for the family at calvert-ferryfuneralhomes.com.
