Christina Klein Obituary
Petersburg, IL—Christina "Chris" Bernice Klein, 86, of Petersburg, Illinois, passed away on December 8, 2020, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois. She was born on November 22, 1934, in Monticello, Kentucky, the daughter of William "Harve" and Ethel (Richardson) Chriswell. She married Robert "Bob" Klein on July 21, 1955, at the Klein Family Farm in Tallula, Illinois.
Chris graduated from Ashland High School. She worked for Memorial Medical Center in Springfield as an Accounts Collector for many years until she retired. She loved to work in her flower beds, boating, playing cards and talking to all of her friends.
Chris is survived by her husband, Bob; two sons, Michael E. "Mike" Klein of Petersburg and Roy Douglas "Doug" (wife Kelly) Klein of Vandalia, Illinois; a grandson, Robert W. Klein; a granddaughter, Nyckole Klein; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Audry Chriswell; and several nieces and nephews.
Chris was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and three brothers.
Due to COVID 19, Chris's family will be hosting a Celebration of Life and burial at a later date. Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg is in charge of assisting the family with final arrangements. Please visit hurleyfh.com to leave online condolences and share memories.
